Possible Distributors for our Film
Raindance
Since 1992 Raindance has been offering advice and support for independent filmmakers. They started the Raindance Film Festival in 1993, and the British Independent Film Awards in 1998.
Most of each year is spent training thousands of new and established filmmakers in all aspects of
film.
Among high profile alumni are Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins), David Yates (Harry Potter), Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn – who actually met at a Raindance course. Raindance training is one of the world’s largest catering for over 3000 students per year.
Short Film Central
Central continues to grow into one of the most useful resources on the internet for information on short films, the people who make them, and the events which screen them. Short Film Central has distributed a film called 'Love at First Sight' which won an award for the Best Cinematography at the International Short Film Carnival. The site distributes films from directors such as Maverick Moore, David Janson and Jacob Frey.
Journeyman Pictures
For over twenty years Journeyman has distributed and co-produced, provocative, profound and
original factual content, working with the top players in the industry. They are one of the leading independent suppliers of award winning stories to the world broadcast market and pride themselves on a position at the spearhead of the factual agenda. With a very successful catalogue covering a myriad of subjects and styles; commercial, current affairs, and feature docs, they always keep at heart a central journalistic ethic that goes to the very roots of the company. Future Shorts
Since 2003, Future Shorts has created a rapidly expanding network that allows filmmakers the opportunity to have their work seen on the largest theatrical platform worldwide. Passionately believing in getting short films seen and creating a culture around the medium, Future Shorts is recognised by filmmakers, the industry and press alike as the cutting-edge short film label. Future Shorts is a worldwide monthly film festival as well as a distributor.
We chose to use 'Short Film Central' as the distributor for our film because they had previously marketed films of a similar genre.
